About The Event
Public awareness of the threat of global disease has increased dramatically in recent years. Concerns have surged. The media has reported extensively on diseases such as Ebola, Covid-19, and Monkeypox. In addition, AI has raised new concerns about biosecurity as terrorist groups could have access to information
about developing biological weapons.
Our speaker David Stiefel, who serves as a Director of NTI’s Global Biological Policy and Programs team, will help us gain a better understanding of these issues. In his role, Stiefel works to increase global action on biosecurity and to reduce the risks associated with the accidental or deliberate misuse of biology and biological materials.
