About The Event
India plays a significant role in international affairs not only because it is the largest democracy in the world, but also because of its geographic size, large population, and technological competence. India is a friend of the United States, maintains a complicated relationship with China and one with Russia, has a rivalry with Pakistan, and is a member of both the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD) and the BRICS. Dhruva Jaishankar, who has long experience in international affairs, will address many of these issues for us.
Mr. Jaishankar is a non-resident fellow at the Lowy Institute in Australia and a 2026 senior fellow with the Asia New Zealand Foundation. He was previously a Fellow in Foreign Policy Studies at Brookings India in New Delhi and the Brookings Institution in Washington DC. Also, he as a Transatlantic Fellow and program officer with the German Marshall Fund (GMF) in Washington DC.
